Rosemary Mint Shampoo bar is a stimulating herbal shampoo for healthy hair and scalp. Rosemary essential oil has been used extensively in hair shampoos and conditioners for its many wonderful benefits. It stimulates the follicles, nourishes the scalp, encourages longer, stronger hair and helps alleviate dry, flaky scalp. Peppermint has many of the same benefits as rosemary as well as helping to balance the scalp’s oil production, making the hair look vibrant and full. The cooling sensation of these essential oils also helps to relieve itchy scalp. This shampoo bar lathers beautifully and you will love the energizing scent of these essential oils!

Description

Ingredients: Coconut Oil, Olive Oil, Canola Oil, Distilled Water, Lye, Shea Butter, Castor Oil, Peppermint Essential Oil, Rosemary Essential Oil and Activated Charcoal.

Coconut Oil: The rinse acts as a “conditioner” that restores pH, smooths the cuticle and makes your hair shiny. In most cases you won’t need an additional conditioner, because shampoo bars moisturize as the cleanse.

Olive Oil: Gentle oil with little cleansing properties, but high in antioxidants (Vitamin E and polyphenols).

Canola Oil: Canola oil has an oleic acid content similar to olive oil but also has a higher linoleic acid content. This produces an extremely conditioning and moisturizing bar with creamy lather.

Lye: The superfat content is important. Some hair does better with a higher superfat content, while others do better with a lower leftover oil content. It’s pretty simple. Dry, frizzy hair will benefit from a higher superfat content.

Shea Butter: Shea butter has been used for centuries to sooth dry itchy scalp or dandruff on hair. It’s also a great source to provide moisture for dry or damaged hair. … It absorbs easily into the scalp and it does not clog the pores. It provides moisture from the roots on down to the ends.

Castor Oil: Castor Oil is an added ingredient to these shampoo bars. In recent years, more and more beauty enthusiasts have begun praising castor oil as a natural solution for hair growth. An age-old remedy long used in traditional medicine, castor oil is also said to moisturize the scalp, ease dandruff, and leave your hair smooth and shiny.

Peppermint Essential Oil: Is designed with great regenerative, antiseptic and stimulating properties that can improve the health of your hair. Peppermint will relieve dry itchy scalp and provides a gentle stimulating treatment to support growth by unclogging hair follicles.

Rosemary Essential Oil: Regular use of rosemary oil helps to stimulate follicles, making hair grow longer and stronger. Rosemary is also believed to slow down premature hair loss and prevent graying of hair.

Activated Charcoal: Unlike many hair cleansing products, the charcoal pulls toxins directly from the scalp, working naturally to help the scalp breathe easier after every wash. Dandruff can be brought on by irritated, oily skin and even fungal infections. These are two things that activated charcoal can help sort out.

Using a bar shampoo may be a new idea to you, but it’s really very simple. Just wet your hair and rub the bar around in it until you get the lather you want. Using the fingertips, massage the lather into the scalp and rinse out completely. If you normally use conditioner, apply it on the hair avoiding the scalp area. An apple cider rinse following your shampoo aids with manageability and leaves the hair soft and beautifully shiny and full. Apple cider vinegar removes build-up from the hair and restores a proper pH to the scalp. To do the rinse, put 1-2 tablespoons of apple cider vinegar in a cup and add approximately 8 oz. of warm water from the shower. Rinse immediately or leave on the scalp while you finish your shower and then rinse out completely. The vinegar smell will dissipate once your hair is dry. You may find that with the rinse, you no longer need to use conditioner!

If you’re new to shampoo bars, you may notice that your hair behaves differently at first. It is normal for your hair to go through a transition period when switching from liquid shampoos to solid bar shampoos which don’t strip the scalp as liquid shampoos do. It will be different for everyone – anywhere from one week to a month. Some people never notice a transition period at all.
