This soap is handmade using Cedarwood Essential Oils, Activated Charcoal and homemade beer for extra lather, extra moisture and hydration.

Made with lye, beer, coconut oil, olive oil, canola oil, cedarwood oil and activated charcoal.

Ingredient Information

Lye: Lye in the form of both sodium hydroxide and potassium hydroxide is used in making soap.

Beer: Hops, an ingredient in beer, contains skin softening amino acids which can soothe irritated and inflamed skin. The brewer’s yeast in beer acts as an antibacterial agent, great for combating acne. Beer also contains vitamin B and other essential vitamins which further moisturizes the skin.

Coconut Oil: In cold process soap, coconut oil is generally used around 20-30% of the recipe. Coconut oil is a super cleansing addition that produces big, copious bubbles.

Olive Oil: Olive oil has been used as a cosmetic and soap ingredient for thousands of years. In today’s soap making, olive oil, botanical name Olea Europaea (Olive) Oil, helps to produce a moisturizing creamy rich lather.

Canola Oil: Canola oil is an affordable option for soap. It produces a balanced bar with creamy lather. It’s also a great substitute for olive oil. You can use canola at 15-40% in cold process.

Cedarwood Oil: Cedarwood Essential Oil can lessen Anxiety. Several studies have pointed to the fact that inhaling the scent of cedarwood can decrease the effects of anxiety. Harness Antimicrobial Properties. Cedarwood oil can serve as an all-natural antiseptic. Improve Skin Conditions.

Activated Charcoal: Activated charcoal soap is known to be highly beneficial in the treatment of acne. It not only aids the removal of toxins, but also removes skin impurities thus helping in the treatment of acne. It even clears facial marks resulting from acne.
